Our vacation rental reviews
We fell completely in love with Casina di Rosa
Originally published on Slow Travel
###Location
Casina di Rosa is in the village of Civitella Marittima. The village is the epitome of what one sees on Italian tourist posters, a beautiful small community perched on a hill in the middle of a Tuscany plain.
###Nearby Amenities
Civitella Marittima is the home of a wonderful restaurant and has another in the same class within walking distance of the village centre. The village offers a few places to have coffee or a beer and some small shops. Otherwise the nearest supermarket is some 6km.
A car is a necessity for shopping and sightseeing.
###The House/Apartment
The house has been in the owner’s family for several generations but is completely modernized. It is fully equipped although I missed a CD player (my wife thought this a blessing!).
In common with Italian buildings, it is made of stone so, when the weather is cold, it’s cold. It is a very quiet and peaceful apartment being the only apartment in the house.
###Garden
There is a small patio.
###Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas
The apartment was in very good condition, comfortable and beautifully maintained by the owner and her husband. We were two adults and Casina di Rosa offered everything we could need.
###Problems or Bonuses
We fell completely in love with Casina di Rosa and look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
###Agency and Representatives (and price)
Gloria and Marcel were (are) charming and very helpful. (they didn’t even get angry when we arrived in the middle of the night!)
###Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
We will, and have, recommended it to anyone considering a visit to Toscana.
###Things to do in this area
Civitella Marittima is perfectly situated for covering the whole of Toscana in day trips by car.
