The perfect place to stay and relax in Tuscany!

We stayed 2 weeks at lovely Casina di Rosa located in a quaint, small hill town called Civitella Marittima. After 10 hectic, noisy days in Rome, we welcomed the peace and quiet of our cosy little casina. Gloria and Marcel are wonderful hosts and Casina di Rosa comes equipped with absolutely everything you need for a perfect vacation in beautiful Tuscany! Personal touches abound, like the generous welcome basket, vase with fresh pink roses and house book which contains all the information you need. The king size bed is very comfortable and we never ran out of hot water for our showers. We love to cook and were very happy that the kitchen came with everything we needed to prepare nice meals. The great thing about Casina di Rosa is its location. You are a one hour drive from all the major sites like Siena, Montalcino, Volterra, Vetulonia, Chianti and the sandy beaches near Grosseto. Civitella Marittima has two wonderful bakeries, a butcher, convenience store, great lookouts for sunrise and sunset views, and one excellent restaurant “La Locanda nel Cassero”. We ate there three times and highly recommend it! If you love wine hire Carlo for the day. He drove us to three exceptional local wineries which we would not have discovered on our own. Gloria and Marcel thank you for making our stay at your lovely Casina so memorable. If you visit Tuscany as a couple, we cannot think of a better or more romantic place to stay!
