###Location
Casina di Rosa is an apartment rental on the top floor in Civitella Marittima, a town in Tuscany. The village is home to 350 residents and offers all essential services. It really is a small town. Everyone is very nice and after only staying there for a week we’ve seen the familar routes and people that goes on in this village. It’s really nice and quiet.
###Nearby Amenities
All the shops are within walking distance in the town. Believe it or not my sister and I still got lost in this village. The grocery shop and butcher shop are in the center of the town. Everything is 2 minutes away from each other. Though the shops are only open in the morning the town is still really quiet. There is a great resturant right around the corner from the apartment. Great chocolate cake and yummy coffee!
When you first enter the village there is one of the local bars/ snack shop. Amazing porchetta sandwiches. Our first introduction to great italian sandwiches. We couldn’t stop eating them.
###The House/Apartment
The apartment is very clean and comfortable. My sister and I spent most of our time in the kitchen since we were always bring back delicious goodies from the places we’ve visited. The apartment carries all the necessary amenities and cooking staples like salt, sugar, tea, olive oil, vingear. The great thing that we really appreciated was the washing machine! Though it took a long time to wash but well worth having. We couldn’t have survived without it.
###Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas
All the funiture was in very good shape. We didn’t spend much time in the living room but it was very cute and nice.
###Bedrooms/Bathrooms
The bed was very comfortable and there was extra blankets and pillows when needed.
###Kitchen
The kitchen was great. We made all our breakfasts in the morning and an evening meal the night before we had to leave. All the pots and pans are in good shape and very good to use. I didn’t have any problems cooking in the kitchen.
###Problems or Bonuses
Thanks Gloria for all the recommendations! Couldn’t have seen and eaten at all the great places without your list of great sights and places to eat!

###Things to do in this area
Civitella Marittima is close to many sites. We enjoyed going to the Hot Springs, driving down the curvey cypress lined road to Pienza and picking up some cured ham and some great Porcino cheese. We stopped to look at the forte in Montalcino and get our fill of some great Brunello wine and pasta herbs. We checked out the Abbeys up in the hills. On another day we when down by the beach and just relax and enjoyed the sea air. We went hiking in the National Parc in Maremma region, which was amazing. One minute you’re up in the ruins the next we’re having lunch on the beach. It’s an awesome trail to hike on. If we had more time we would travel even slower!
