It could not have been more perfect for my husband and me

We were first-time visitors to Italy this last spring and we could not have asked for a more helpful, kind, and generous-with-her-time hostess; and her small rental house could not have been more perfect for my husband and me. Though small, it was perfect for two people. The kitchen was comfortable and very-well equipped. It was very, very cold during our visit, so we really appreciated the fireplace (and the portable gas heater, also). Our hostess kept us supplied with all the wood and gas necessary to keep us comfortable.

The house is in a small village, with a good restaurant, a bakery and a bar or two, all within walking distance. The village also has a small auto rental agency, (Julianna – a very nice lady!) For groceries, you need to drive to Paganico, about 6 km away.

The house and village were amazingly quiet, and we appreciated the privacy of the house. Best of all, it was very convenient for sightseeing – think concentric circles radiating away from the village – Siena to Grosetto; the coast to Montepulciano; we even made a day trip to Rome (via train). From Casina di Rosa, it’s easy to mix city, village, hilltop towns, and the rural and wild areas, making your holiday well-rounded and fulfilling.

Gloria, the owner, goes out of her way to be helpful before, during, and after your visit. I would highly recommend this vacation rental; we have every intention of returning soon!
