Friendly people greet you all the time!

###Location

Civitella Marittima is an old small village up on a steep hill where we felt very relaxed from the beginning. Friendly people greet you all the time. The house is in the middle of the village, with it’s steep streets and old achitecture. The serenity of the village and the house grabs you from the first moment and we enjoyed that very much.

###Nearby Amenities

There are two small grocery stores within the village (a little more expensive) but we alway went to the supermarket in Paganico. Six kilometers away. In the restaurant LOCANDA NEL CASSREO we ate twice and it was excellent! We sure recommend this restaurant.

###The House/Apartment

The house is certainly historical. You can feel it, breath it and almost hear it! It makes you respect it right away. Very peaceful and quiet. Above some storage place where we haven’t seen anyone.

###Garden

The veranda was a bit small but with the two chairs and the plants (don’t forget to water them) still a cosey place to sit in the cool evening. A private place.

###Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was in excellent shape with enough chairs, plenty of storage place and a seperate sitting room to “get away to.”

###Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The kingsize bed is very comfortable and the bedroom it’s self offers enough room. The bathroom invites you to keep it like how you found it: very clean! The shower is somewhat small but still big enough to scrub up!

###Kitchen

The kitchen is large enough. With a nice fireplace, TV and kitchen table it was the place where we sat mostly. The kitchen contains all the stuff that a good kitchen should have. The gas comes from a container that we opened and closed everytime we used it. For your own safety, Gloria said, but I’m sure hadn’t we done so,nothing would have happened because the equipement was in excellent shape.

###Problems or Bonuses

Surprise was the bottle of Tuscany wine liqeur we received when we came. I am a football lover and in this week the World Championship Soccer was going on. The satelite decoder was broken and Gloria did her very best to get it fixed. Unfortunatly she didn’t succeed so I went to the local bar where they had a wide screen. Looking at footbal among the Italians is something else! So the disadvantage turned in to an advantage!

###Agency and Representatives (and price)

Our hosts Gloria an Marcel both speak perfect English and we were treated very nice. They are very helpful. The website doesn’t say anything that isn’t true! There was a heatwave going on when we were there. So the house pretty much warmed up but the first thing Gloria brought us was a big cooling fan that did overtime during our stay!

###Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would recommend this house to family, friends and enemies as well!

###Things to do in this area

The books from the sitting room, all the things Gloria and Marcel mentioned to us and all the folders and stuff we brought ourselves was more than enough to tell us what to do. We saw so much that it would take hours to review them all. We even did Pisa, which is back and forth 350 km’s and haven’t regreted one minute of it!
