We can’t believe how lucky we were to find “Casina di Rosa” in Civitella Marittima and to find that not only did it match its description but exceeded it. The villa is lovely-warm and welcoming, newly redecorated and equipped with everything one could possibly need-including a “welcome basket” from the hosts which means your first meal is already arranged!

Civitella Marittima, besides being a lovely old Italian village, is full of friendly people,good shops and a great restaurant.It is the perfect place to rest and recover from city sightseeing stress and also to use as a base for lovely country drives to some of the more famous tourist spots.

We hope it stays just as it is and is never “over run” with tourists, as much of it’s charm lies in its serenity.

Civitella Marittima is everything we expected a Tuscan village to be and Casina di Rosa the perfect home base from which to enjoy it.
